Robert Farnell and Elizabeth Slavin the owners of Windrovers Ltd., live in a log home near Ivanhoe (famous for its cheese factory) in Hastings County.

Having spent most of our lives in this area, we know the Hastings County and Land O’ Lakes cottage areas well. The land and people here are our community.

Robert has scoured the back roads, explored the woodland trails, lakes and rivers. He has owned cottages on Kashwakamak and Big Gull Lakes in the Land O’ Lakes.

Also a lover of the outdoors and steadfast partner in Robert’s meanderings, Elizabeth is equally interested in the building and development of community.

In 1997 we bought 100 acres close to the trails, lakes and rivers we love and began clearing land to build a log home. The summer saw a house raising bee and, with the hardworking help of family and friends, we laid the floor, raised the log walls and put up the roof.

In 2005 we were married in the yard of that house with many of the same people present.

In 2005, we have begun to develop Windrovers Ltd. – a cottage property management business that, unlike other rental agencies, includes changeover cleaning between renters.

We are motivated to succeed and will work hard to rent your cottages and to ensure the satisfaction of our customers.

We look forward to building a relationship with cottage owners and renters and welcoming you to our community.
