Bob’s Lake is well-known for its many inlets and islands providing summer-long exploring and discovering of new places. Boat by Honeymoon Island and watch the young daredevils jumping from the high rocks. Overlooking the cove is a lovely pine sunroom and outside a deck runs across the front and around the side. A large and comfortable livingroom has a wood stove for cool Fall evenings. The kitchen is at one end of the room and open to the rest. The cottage is placed part way down the hill, so it is not too far to the lake and dock – and sturdy, newly renovated steps take you down to the cottage from the parking. In a quiet, private location, this cottage is completely shielded from the neighbours by pines and undergrowth.

Located where the Canadian Shield drops down into the St. Lawrence to form the Thousand Islands, the cottage hugs great boulders to look out over the lake and affords gentle grass and pine needle paths to access the waterfront.
Two docks are by the water, a small one for putting the kayaks in and a large one for bigger boats, lounging in the sun and swimming. Stroll down country lanes and woodland trails. Not a place for little children, watch the sunset from atop the rockface 100 ft. above the water. A large grass area on the other side of the cottage gives easy access to the waterfront and has a screened in gazebo for after dinner cigars.
The owner was totally taken with this cottage the first time she saw it and her husband took her word on its natural beauty from afar and agreed that they should own it – it was an act of “Blind Faith”.
You will love it too. A sunken livingroom is arranged to watch the sun set through the picture window. A modern kitchen, laminate hardwood flooring and natural colours all combine to create a comfortable indoors to compliment the outdoor beauty.

Having spent most of our lives in this area, we know the Hastings County and Land O’ Lakes cottage areas well. The land and people here are our community.

Robert has scoured the back roads, explored the woodland trails, lakes and rivers. He has owned cottages on Kashwakamak and Big Gull Lakes in the Land O’ Lakes.

Also a lover of the outdoors and steadfast partner in Robert’s meanderings, Elizabeth is equally interested in the building and development of community.

In 1997 we bought 100 acres close to the trails, lakes and rivers we love and began clearing land to build a log home. The summer saw a house raising bee and, with the hardworking help of family and friends, we laid the floor, raised the log walls and put up the roof.

In 2005 we were married in the yard of that house with many of the same people present.

In 2005, we have begun to develop Windrovers Ltd. – a cottage property management business that, unlike other rental agencies, includes changeover cleaning between renters.

We are motivated to succeed and will work hard to rent your cottages and to ensure the satisfaction of our customers.

We look forward to building a relationship with cottage owners and renters and welcoming you to our community.
